IDEAS COMPETITION
The transnational Cooperation Project originates with the aim of enriching and valorising the cultural touristic activities in the LAG (Local Action Groups) target territories partners. The cities of art will then be decongested, enlarging the possibility of a better understanding of the rural areas and smaller towns’ cultural context, which often has come to life in the stories of artists born or raised in those areas, or in works of writers and poets whom travelled through these territories, falling in love with them and their landscapes.
The idea is to create – in relation with the network of slow mobility routes, transformed in destinations – cultural itineraries related to authors, landscapes and works whose testimony exists in the whole territory of the partner’s areas.
How could such itineraries be promoted? Through the realisation of a comic novel!
Could this irruption in the comics’ world bring to a potential project involving seven LAGs, enhancing their visibility and valorising the cultural potentialities of their territories? The comic novel can represent an effective and innovative instrument to reach new targets of potential visitors and tourists.
The main character of the novel chosen through this competition will act as Divine Comedy’s Virgil, helping the visitors to meet, along the cultural itineraries, the famous personalities of each area. Every episode will end with a mystery that will only be solvable by visiting the related territory.
