The LAG PATAVINO is a limited liability consortium composed by private (80%) and public (20%) shareholders. The main goals are to support local economy and agricultural products, and to enhance natural and cultural assets of the 23 municipalities of the southern Padua province.
The Veneto Region approved the Venetian LAG’s regional ranking and the financing of the respective Local Development Programs. The LAG PATAVINO was officially recognized as agent enabled to realize the AXIS IV of Rural Development Program, and the Local Development Program submitted was financed with 6.379.019,24 € (DGR n°545 10/03/09).
Core of the GAL’s activity is to support the realization of the Measures contained in the Local Development Program 2007-2013. This plan is drawn from the GAL PATAVINO since the Rural Development Program (RDP) of the Veneto Region.
The sectors involved in the GAL planning and development activities range over a variety of subjects from agriculture to tourism, from craftsmanship to local products. Through several RDP’s Measures, identified to realize the LAG’s strategy, local stakeholders can participate in the LAG’s competitive bids to gain European Agricultural Funds to improve the competitiveness of agriculture, the environment and rural areas, the economy and the quality of life for residents and visitors.
The interested farmers, agricultural consortiums, private and public corporations resident in the municipalities of the target area (Abano Terme, Arquà Petrarca, Baone, Battaglia Terme, Casale di Scodosia, Cervarese Santa Croce, Cinto Euganeo, Galzignano Terme, Lozzo Atestino, Megliadino San Fidenzio, Megliadino San Vitale, Merlara, Monselice, Montagnana, Montegrotto Terme, Ospedaletto Euganeo, Rovolon, Saletto, Teolo, Torreglia, Urbana, Veggiano, Vo'), can profit by national and European funds allocated by the LAG through competitive bids for the realization of projects consistent with the Local Development Program aims and Measures.
