RURAL TOURISM BETWEEN THE GREAT RIVERS - RURAL TOURISM PROMOTION IN PLAIN TERRITORIES CROSSED BY GREAT RIVERS

General Project Objective: 

The project’s aim is to promote rural tourism in plain territories, until now not much usable, including the triangle of the east Padana plain, where the two longest rivers of Italy flow, the Po and the Adige, which has at its border great tourist destinations such as: the art cities, the beach tourism’s areas in the Adriatic Sea or The Garda lake. It is therefore to capture and direct the classic tourism, well developed in the adjacent areas of the LAGs’ partner territories, through the interlag or interprovincial slow mobility trails development and enhancement.

 

Activities description and measures that are going to be activated by the LAG Patavino in its territory:

 

1.     Information action

Measure 331: Training and information for the Economic operators in rural areas Action 1 Collective nature interventions of training / information, environmental and territorial education

Through this phase it will be carried out a local economic operators’ information and/or training, who will be closely involved in interprovincial routes' usability.

The participants at the LAGs project will realize a calendar of information initiatives for the local tourism operators of the areas affected by the project.

2.    Qualification of itineraries

 

·       Qualification Routes - Measure 313: Tourism activities Encouragement Action 1 Routes and Certification

- Rural routes qualification measures (paths, trails, waterways, bridleways).

In particular, there will be routes development and enhancement actions for "InterLAG or interprovincial" slow mobility  routes: cycling, river, horse trails, historical, cultural, etc..

The main directions and "excellence" routes will be identified , where excellence is understood not only as "feasibility" as well as "usability"  and then there will be an active involvement of operators and agencies (ie. Municipalities) to the management of the routes.

These routes will have, in the partner territories, the same characteristics, putting in connection the rural plain areas, given the strong cultural and environmental identity that unites them, characterized in particular by the great rivers of Italy presence, such as the Po, Adige and the Brenta.

There will also be made information panels and signposting to promote the trails located network.

3. Information and promotion

1) Promotional materials realization, computer media

- Touristic flows analysis from the major tourist destinations such as art cities (Venice, Mantua, Padua, Verona, Ferrara and Ravenna), the Adriatic Sea and Lake Garda seaside tourism areas aimed at drawing up a vast area medium-term marketing plan.

- A project logo/slogan creation and an informative material paper production, a box with maps and specific material, maps, guides, etc.. realization

- Web pages and documentary video creation for routes for the promotion to be linked to the official sites

2) Local events organising

- tour operators and journalists educational tours

- itinerant event on paths/routes

LETTER TO INTENT AND MOTION FOR SCIENTIFIC TECHNICAL SERVICE APPOINTMENT

As part of the cooperation project TUR RIVERS, Lag Polesine Adige, project leader, must have a qualified technician for the "study and research of tourist flows"preparation, in the project relevance basin.

The qualified provider must be able to carry out a study/research of tourist flows from the major tourist destinations such as the city of art, the seaside areas and from Lake Garda that bordering the basin project, aimed at drawing up a medium-term marketing vast area plan.

Interested parties should send their request to interest exclusively to the LAG POLESINE ADIGE by 12.00 am of Monday, March 4, 2013.
